There are some factors that you need to be aware of and consider when you alter your business towards a circular business. These factors could be both internal and external.
The internal adoption factors include team motivation, organizational culture, knowledge and transition procedures. The co-workers must feel motivated and know how to carry out the change to a circular business. It is very probable that there will be changes in the organization of the company when you shift to a circular model so you need to be prepared.
The external adoption factors concern technological, political, sociocultural, and economic issues. For example, a circular business must pay close attention to material tracking and recycling, be well informed about environmental legislation, have knowledge of customer habits and public opinion, and last but not least, understand the economic forces like predictable demand for future products.
The external factors are sometimes called PEST factors, Political, Economical, Societal and Technological. These are factors from outside your business that can change the rules, demand, feasibility and costs of producing and selling a product.
